Area Development Agreement for Southern California

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 7, 2000--Sports Group International Inc Monday announced that it has entered into an Area Development Agreement (the ``Agreement'') for Southern California with Greenland Inc. covering its Surf City Squeeze and Frullati Cafe & Bakery concepts.

Raphael Hahn, president of Greenland Inc., looks forward to the opportunity to develop the region with over 50 additional Surf City Squeeze and Frullati Cafe & Bakery stores. Hahn, who is an existing multi-unit franchisee of Surf City Squeeze, is excited about growing the two concepts in Southern California.

The aggressive development plan under the Agreement of the Company's Surf City Squeeze and Frullati Cafe & Bakery concepts is intended to secure the unique niche available in the market for quick-service outlets that satisfy consumer demands for healthier, more nutritious products.

Once completed, this Agreement will raise the total number of the Company's outlets open in Southern California to over 100 locations.
