* How
much profit does a store make?
Profit varies from store to
store for both company and franchised cafes. There is no single answer
that would be correct for all stores and most importantly for your store.
Frullati Cafes are generally located inside of regional malls. Frullati's
sales will reflect the retail sales of the various malls in which the
café is located. Retail sales will vary per square foot. This is
a reflection of both the traffic in the mall and the type of business
generated by the mall. Your sales may reflect the sales of the mall.
No Frullati does not allow
any of its associates to provide projected or estimated sales. The final
proforma will have to be made by you and your professional counsel.
Yes, Frullati has good relations
with the major malls who are continually offering new locations to us.
In addition, we will help you to negotiate the lease and evaluate the
economics before you sign any lease. Yes, Frullati believes that
ownership of more than one store in the same mall is a good use of resources.
While, we encourage the development of several Frullati Cafes by one owner,
it also makes good sense to operate more than one franchise in the same
food court, thereby, gaining efficient use of resources especially on
site management.
For each café you will
have to pay a franchise fee. This fee is $30,000 for the first and second
franchise and $17,500 for the 3rd location and every location thereafter.
You will have to pay for the cost of architectural renovation of the location,
equipment, professional fees and travel to the training facility, inventory
and various other expenses. This varies with the location. Our experience
has been between $162,600 to $395.700. This is a multifaceted question
with no single answer. However, if there is a best answer, it would be
the fact that our menu captures what today's health conscious consumer
is looking for. Our food is fresh and wholesome. It is made right in front
of the customer not in a back room. It is lighter than other typical food
court vendors and arguably healthier. Typical food court offerings are
fried chicken, pizza, cookies, cinnamon rolls and other high caloric and
fat filled selections. Frullati is typically a more favorable alternative
to the run-of-the mill selections, and customers feel good about making
the Frullati choice.
We are in malls but we have
several airport locations, as well as in hospitals and office complexes.
And we are currently exploring strip center locations. While the alternate
locations preserve the same basic Frullati concept, the application is
different enough to require extensive testing and concept development.
It is very easy, as is almost
any food concept, especially quick service food. However, the hours can
be long especially in the beginning. If you are willing to put the time
into the project, you manage it with ease. While this is an owner-operated
business, at some point you should be ready to relinquish the daily operation
and manage your managers, not your stores. This is a difficult step and
not for everyone. If you want to grow, we can show you how. But, if you
only want one or two Cafes, our system will accommodate that as well.
The only situation that is not recommended is absentee ownership.
The approval process to award
your Franchise will take a few weeks. Sites are usually available to us.
Once the site is secured, construction should not take much more than
60 days.
