In 1985, the founders of Frullati Cafe & Bakery opened Frullati with the intent to redefine the term “fast food.” The concept introduced unique dishes such as grilled paninis, freshly prepared salads, hand-crafted sandwiches and tasty fresh baked treats. With a limited inventory of healthful quick service restaurants in the market, customers quickly “caught on” to Frullati and their innovative new menu selections. It was, however, the blended fruit smoothies that wowed patrons and eventually peaked the interest of Sports Group International, now known as Kahala. In 1999, Frullati was acquired and brought under the Kahala umbrella. While Frullati’s parent company may have changed, the brand’s mission to deliver fresh new favorites has not.
